Total Scion IQ sales in North America:

Since 2011 only 14,400 Scion IQ units have been sold in the US. 16,167 Scion IQ units have been sold in all of North America.

Now we will have a rare niche car with increasingly rare and overpriced parts and pieces. The good news is its a sharp looking ride and a Toyota!

Now we can start a cartel of owners and drive the resale value up! and up! and up! Okay maybe not so much.

Heres some good reading...

To quote Fez from "The 70's Show" when someone described to him what happens during Halloween (you knock on people's door, say, "Trick or Treat" and they give you candy)..."I don't believe it!"

Ok, so I passed by my dealer on the way home this evening and I saw a couple of new IQ's, one in the showroom and one on the lot. Turns out they are 2014 models. I went inside and spoke to the sales people and mentioned the "rumor" of the IQ's demise. So they checked on their computer system and there is indeed a 2015 model listed. According to them, it WILL be available soon and they are just awaiting more info on the available packages/options list. The salesman has my number and I told him I wanted to be the first one with a 2015 and to keep an eye out for any "special" option model.

I don't think we can really base a discontinuation off the fact that the 2015 model isn't listed on the Scion website. There are many, many cars across several manufacturers that have some 2015 models listed on only some of their cars and others are only 2014 but will definitely continue into 2015. Toyota.com, for example. Ford.com is another. There are more.

I personally don't know what to think. Dealers have said there WILL be 2015 models, but very low sales and iQs sitting on dealer lots for months before they're sold says there won't be a 2015 model.

It won't be too much longer before we find out, I suppose.

Hang onto your iQ, I just got my 2014 iQ 10 (Limited Edition) Best little car I Have owned. I don't think the iQ will be out because it is the trend now owning micro cars, all my life been driving bigger car with only me (myself) sometimes with my wife inside= what a waste of gas, parking space, increase of emission. Nowadays, with new technology and new material this micro cars are so well built (please see youtube-iQ crash test reports), it rates better than a lot of bigger cars. Being less in production quantity=collective items=more value, smart buyers will look for the car to buy. I could only find 2 iQ for sale in my area (100% made in Japan) and I bought the last one. I am proud to own it. I owned two used Mercedes (very Mint condition, not old junky) before got them all fixed up (ML320 and E320) sold them all in 6 months because it gave me so much problems one after the other (all electronic problems). No more Mercedes, I had one used but mint condition BMW750i as well, got rid of it in 3 months because of all sorts of electronic problems again. The German cars only good in the first 3 years, then all the problem comes, I have owned Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Kia, VW, Mazda, Suzuki, Mercedes, BMW, Ford, GMC...and ONLY the Japanese cars has no problem. Just need Oil changed=that is it. Driving (new car) is my hobby. But I am NOT going to let go of my iQ. Period. It is the Workmanship that count..

I'm with you, Kungfu! (Cool nickname, btw.) I've owned Fords, Chebbies, Pontiac, Chrysler, Subarus, and Toyotas and NOTHING even comes close to my Toyotas. My 2005 Tacoma has had ZERO issues and is rapidly closing in on 100,000 miles. (My brother bought a Jeep Rubican the same year as me and he's already had to have major transmission work plus some other work.)

We had a Chrysler van (Voyager) and the engine oil would look dirtier after 500 miles than my Toyota did after 3,000 miles!

I do hope they is a 2015 North American iQ but my hopes are dwindling the longer I see NO mention of it on any Toyota/Scion websites while many other 2015 Scions are listed.
