i was really disappointed that such a basic feature wasn't on the iQ especially when this is a car built to get some good gas mileage.

eventually Scion will have to make this available, really curious to why they didn't do it.

any idea why?

The Yaris does not have cruise either. But there are third party fixes for that. I figure that there will be a third party cruise offered for the IQ too. Just as long as it does not need a computer TAN code like the Smart.

A TAN code is a computer code that turns on the feature. I had to buy one for my Smart and then I could install the cruise stalk. I found a guy that had the computer program to install it.

I would believe that the iQ would need a TAN code. Doesn't the cruise control function use the car's computer to stabilize the speed?

Since it's a really technical feature, is it worth going through all this trouble and getting a TAN code all for a cruise control feature?
