Anything is possible, if you have the $$$. Still, it would probably be fun to put a mild turbo on, running 5 or 6 psi. Would have to get more details of the engine's internals though, to make sure it would take that.

If you are going to turbo charge the USA IQ you may not be able to get much out of it.

The reason i say that is that the 1.3L engine that come in the USA version has a 11.5:1 comp ratio. That's pretty high for a turbo, you may be able to get away with really Low boost, but detonation will be your worst enemy along with that high comp. ratio.
Premium fuel will be a must.

I would rather have the Turbo Diesel, It comes with a 6 spd manual Trans, & it has a lot of Torque 140 ft lbs. for that small/light of a car that would push you back in your seat, and move that car pretty well.

oesntdoesn't I think we got screwed a turbo diesel would be great here in the states, but our government doesn't want us to have vehicles that are that efficient it would cut into their fuel tax profit to much. So we get the short end of the stick. Imagine what you could get out of it. Diesel engines have tons of potential. What a shame, we got screwed on rear disc brakes, and engine/ gear box options. Two thumbs down for our crooked ass government

Our CVT and a turbo would not work well together...you'd need a manual tranny....

But a turbo diesel with a stick shift would work amazing. We would be better off with a supercharger and a small amount of boost.

Master yoda, that iq is supercharged not turbo. I'm not sure about that brand or what kind of customer service I would get with it being produced over seas. Also the price is really high for that kind of supercharger. It doesn't even have a intercooler. I have seen pics of an iq running a different type of super charger mounted up higher and using an inter cooler the one on that car requires cutting out your coolant reservoir and relocating it. I think in time we will have more options. This is an item worth waiting for. At a 1/4 of the price of the car I would want something much better .

this Kit is a Turbo Kit ! Gazoo Racing is a great preparator! they made a limited serie of IQ Turbo, only 100 and sold in one day , only for Japan
