tire sizes for 2012 Scion IQ

so the recommended tire, the 175/60 R16, seems to be in short supply except for the Goodyear with what I regard as an overly high price.

Are there other tire sizes that would work with the original wheells?

I have read on here of 185/60R16 of which there are a few more choices, but I can not confirm it does not rub personally. The stock 16” wheels are 5” wide. I have wider wheels on order for over 6 months now, gonna try 195/55R16…

I have 195/55R16 tires on my Scion iQ. No issues with rubbing.

Those wheels are at least 5.5” wide though correct? For that size I think width range is 5.5-7. Sadly Toyota gave the iQ skinny 5” wide wheels, I guess for fuel economy…

I was in the similar situation. So I went with 185/55 and all is well.

I use 195-55-16…almost identical overall diameter. Also, many more options to choose from.
