On the fifth day of iQ, we show you why the 2012 Scion iQ strives to be one of the safest cars on the road today.
The iQ is small in size but large on safety. Active safety features include Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) and Traction Control (TRAC).
But more than the stellar safety features are the 11 airbags that come standard that come standard with the 2012 iQ, including the world's first rear-window curtain airbag. Other airbags include driver- and front-passenger airbags; driver- and front-passenger seat-mounted side airbags; side curtain airbags; driver- and front-passenger knee airbags; and a Scion-first driver seat-cushion airbag.
Scion has won several awards from National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for its other models, and the iQ is set to continue that high standard of safety.
