hey folks!!i will be upgradeing the audio system in time, but for now i am finding even the BASE unit to be pretty darn sufficient.for the first month or so i was in to much bliss to even start thinking bout playing with the deck audio functions,i allso thought the only option to this was the three preset functions on the deck, which is far from the case.there is allso trebble ,bass, fade, ballance and a low mid high function and another,i have it dialled in very nicely, and i may be the only one who it took so long to figure this out but if anyone is wondering, you will find these features if you depress and hold the SSP button on the bottom left of the head unit.PEACE.:eek:

I found those controls, too, but only with the book in front of me. The base unit does far more than I ever could want, so I'm beyond happy.
I'm the opposite. The one I drove I hated the stack placement. And I actually don't listen to the radio in the car. Are they easy to remove? I'd rather see better over the dash, in the middle.

The center audio housing is actually easy to remove. If you leave it out you'll have a rather large hole in your dash.

You need the Cygnet version!!!!!
yeah i guess i meant the sound NOT the look,i find it a little much growing out of the dash as well.
Actually, while I am not a head-over-heels fan of the audio stack either, I do find it to be no more obtrusive than the center speedo cluster on the Yaris. I find no forward visibility obstruction whatsoever. Thing is, it makes functional sense where it is, so I'm fine with that. I do LOVE the simple-yet-effective steering wheel controls.
