Got my new springs from galone today. Didn't take any time to install them. The rears are gravy. The fronts pretty easy except you have to pull the covers off over the wiper area to access the top of the strut bolts.Total time to install all four corners, just under a hour. Ten minutes to check on the alignment machine, was actually all in specs ! Wow how did I manage that ? There was just enough play in the upper bolt that when I pulled the top out it was in specs. I had alignment bolts. But didn't need them, I think they are actually to small to safely use them. And they are the ones listed to fit ?Did notice that the headlight alignment was WAY OFF ! You will have to crank the headlights down as the car now sites level instead of rear end higher.

Nice, a drop always helps the appearance of the iQ. I noticed the title of the thread says "tan" springs...did you mean Tein?

When on a grocery run in a lowered iQ..
Watch out for those sudden dips in the road..

Ouch I hate hearing a tire rub in the rear end...

OK

I forgot to measure the ride height before I lowered it.
Can somebody with stock suspension measure from the ground up to the bottom of the fender well lip. Center line with the center of the hubcap.
Like below. I will measure mine tomorrow..

I have a front Tanabe strut brace ordered for it.
Still waiting for a Tanabe rear sway bar kit.
Or another lower priced one.
I can't see paying $300 to have a TRD one in red.
When a red Tanabe would be just as good !
Tried contacting Tanabe on a rear sway bar kit.
But no reply yet ? Wonder why they don't make one yet ?
As the iQ has been out basically since 2008 in a Toyota version.

I talked to the guys from Tanabe at the Motion Show yesterday. The springs should be arriving in a month or so. The strut bar will be coming the first of June and we are going to do a little more R&D on the frame brace. No word yet on a rear sway bar.

Well tell them most people would rather have the rear sway bar then a frame brace. I am one.

Just wondering if anyone can advise me on how long should you wait after lowering the car to do the alignment, if necessary? Thanks!

I checked mine right after putting them on, they are dead on in specs. I will check again in a month or so.
