What should I be expecting for different model levels on the iQ. I have read everything from 2 or 3, to some people saying Scion will only offer a base model and that is it.

With Scion base models do you have upgrade options also - like different size wheels or air conditioning?

As typical with most new model introductions there will be a straight forward package with limited options. When sales start to slip other options will appear and in the case of Scion, if the past repeats itself, limited edition models with special paint and interiors. My 2 cents.

There will be only one model of the iQ. All Scion cars are released as mono-spec, and the only 'options' are the accessories that you decide to add and your color pick. All Scion cars are nicely-equipped for economy rides, featuring full power options, air conditioning, nice factory stereos, etc.

Scion will also release a limited edition "Release Series" of the iQ, with special paint colors, interior fabrics, etc. You will likely only see 1000-2000 of these.

I highly doubt that Scion will scrap power options on the iQ, given that the car is made for young, hip urbanites and is being marketed as a premium micro car. There is nothing premium or hip about having crank windows, haha.

Wow thanks for the information Jim. I hope you are right about them keeping the power options. I just hope they don't scrape the bottom of the barrel for seat fabrics as the pictures of the production model were embarassing. I guess one could always go out and get them recovered but Scion should be smarter and put in a very normal/universal pattern. Wait and see I guess....
