Rim size

Early pictures seem to have massive rims on the IQ. Look almost to be 17's or maybe bigger. Any details what size they are?

Yes they are big rims, in fact they are 18×8.5 ET03. The technical specs are Five:AD S6:F custom wheels with nickel finish prototyped by MetalFX and wrapped in Yokohama S drive tires. :)

Do you think the car would look better or worse with bigger tires? Think you could fit 19" inch rims on there?
19's may be overkill. I love the look of the 18 inch rim on the pictures we have seen.
18 would be as big as I go as well. Anything larger is overkill IMO.

So will we actually see it come stock with 18's or will they go like every other car company and end up throwing 14/15 inch wheels on the the production model?

Bigger rims will definitely be an option. Car companies do need to make money somehow. It will most likely vary by trim level.

Ya, expect the 14's to fit perfectly on the car for the base model....lets hope they at least put on rims and not steel wheels with hubcaps....*shudder*
Ugh, hate hubcaps.

Would love those rims in the photos to come stock!! Thanks for the info.
Ya hubcaps are just a bad idea - never look good on any type of car.
I don't think they will go to hubcaps. Scion will be smart and put on some nice looking rims, probably at least 15 inch rims and have a higher model with larger rims - possibly the 18s we see pictured. They need to do this to gain the market edge.
Massive rims, yeah you might all say a little garish but I like my wheels to be big with loads of chrome!
Looks like the rims shrunk significantly. Can't tell for sure but looks like there isn't room for 18's anymore
I figured that would happen from concept to production model. I'm guessing there will be 15s on the production iQ.
I think 17s or 18s would be fine. Even if 16s came stock, that would still be okay - it's all about the look. If the wheel gap was too large with smaller rims, just lower the car... I think there are enough options out there, but before jumping to conclusions, we should wait until the final IQ specs are confirmed.
