Pairing phone with stereo system via Bluetooth

Hi all, I have the Pioneer base audio system in my iQ. I am having trouble getting my phone and the audio system paired through Bluetooth.
The user manual says:

To make the settings for the Bluetooth device, display the BLUETOOTH menu by the following operation.
1 Press the MULTI KNOB to display the AUDIO menu.
2 Turn the MULTI KNOB to select BLUETOOTH, and press the MULTI KNOB.

The problem that I have is... I can't even find the Bluetooth menu after pressing the multi knob... can anyone help please? Thanks in advance.

HIGH THERE,MY MANUALL SAYS NOTHING ABOUT THE KNOB,OOOPS CAPS LOCK off, mine says to depress the bluetooth buton on the console by the shifter and hold till it beeps 3 times then you have five minutes to pair the phone.worked without a hitch.give that a whirl.
Thanks for the helpful info...I have yet to venture into this territory.

Thanks for the info. Are you having the premium audio system in yours? or the base one? I haven't try it yet, but I don't remember seeing any Bluetooth button on the console... or do you mean the button on the steering wheel?

Ken
I have the Navigation unit in mine so the set up is done via touch screen.

I searched around a little and found a video that explains the Toyota Bluetooth pairing, not sure if it will help with the Scion but here's the link.

I really appreciate your help :) I guess I will have to stop by the dealer sometimes to have them take a look at that~
i can't help you, on my Toyota IQ, it's very different, and simple, if you have factory GPS you only activate function and turn on your phone and bluetooth is available

Looks like the Great White North is getting the Bluetooth button but not the States. Congratulations on having an extra item. That open space on mine was used for the fog light switch.
The Scion models do not have the Bluetooth button.
Agreed...I have no controls down by the shifter.
I was driving with my friend while listening to MP3 tunes from my phone via BT Audio. I asked if he would like to pair his phone so we can listen to his music collection. I started to navigate through the menu just like I did when I paired my Android phone. I couldn't find the pair or connect option. Could it be because we were in motion, as opposed to when I paired my phone while I was in my garage? ;)
It might be a safety feature a lot of cars wont let you do anything when the car is in-motion just try pairing it when the car is put into park.

As for the OP thats weird... it should be right there if you still haven't fixed the issue contact scion see what they say.

I figured that much, hence the wink emoticon. That's what I was hinting the OP. Maybe he was in motion.

I tried to do the pairing while the car is parked too, still no luck :(
I have the US Scion IQ with the base audio system. Confirm that there is no phone button on the console. I do however find Bluettoth pairing in the phone option when you go to the menu system via the multifuntion knob on the head unit. pairing was easy, but I'm not convinced my existing in ear headset isn't a better option. I can talk to that and make calls by saying "phone home" The in car sysytem, i have to hit the call button, rotate the knob to the phonebook, push it, rotate it to A to Z search, hit the kob, search up and down to find the number i need, hit the knob, selct the number displayed and hit the call button again. If I have not crahed by then, the audio is good.
