I just purchased a 2014 iQ in Blizzard Pearl. Looking carefully at the interior now that the car is home I noticed that for the plastic surround that covers the radio and for the silver panel with the air vents, that the partially concealed back or underside surfaces are Black Currant in color. Is that the case for all iQs, or is mine a Monday morning/ Friday afternoon car that got the wrong parts. It would definitely look better if the concealed surfaces were black. Please check your cars and let me know. Tim

I don't know what they were thinking putting that terrible red underneath the radio and AC controls. Or the use of the silver for the AC vents. Some of the color choices on the car is terrible but not as bad as some of the Toyota iQs i've seen.

What brand of paint and paint color/texture did you use for those nicely done coverup? It would help me out with my planned execution of the same work, and I'd rather not have to experiment with paint.

Also, did you sand the parts that you painted before applying the paint?

I didn't sand the parts first, I used Plasti-Dip black spray coating. If you don't like the results you can always peel it off and the original color is still there.

While on the subject of interior colors, we saw my son's sport car Scion today (FRS, or something like that), and it too had the red stitching on the interior trim and steering wheel, just like the iQ. No red crap under the navigation shroud, though.

Hi all. Such an inconvenient situation turned out, I took a car from a friend and it so happened that my companion vomited right during the trip and I didn’t know how to remove the vomiting, but I found the instruction How to clean vomit from car | 5 steps you need to know about vomit cleaning and soda still managed to remove the smell, and the stain was removed with a steam cleaner. I didn't tell her. And how would you do it?
