Whenever in doubt I would just follow the manufacturers recommended intervals. They obviously know what their doing.
It's easy. I have limited mechanical skills at first but since I started riding motorcycles a few years ago, I learned how to change the oil and filter on those (smaller motors). The same concept applies to car engines. Since then, I've been changing them myself (on my Smart Fortwo when I had it). I will be doing the same on the iQ but not until after 2 years or 24,000 miles. Remember, we get FREE maintenance!thanks guys!!! ill definitely take those into consideration!! now all i need to do is learn how to do the oil changes myself. lol
Yea. I bought mine on Dec 02. And I am putting 120miles everyday from commuting to work.Wait, what? You got to 5,000 miles first? I only have about 2,600 on mine (that's because I have other vehicles I "ride").![]()
yes surfcitylocal, your old, thanks for your honesty.ooops did i say that.I'm old school. I will still change my oil every 4,000 miles. (with synthetic)
