The launch was delayed again.
Any word when it's delayed until? I sure hope it's not too much longer.

A scion dealer in Alhamba, CA told me on the phone today that they had 2 on the showroom floor. The woman had to "check the computer", so i am not sure if it's accurate. I am going to check the dealer out tomorrow.
any update from the dealership? would like to hear what that Scion dealership has to say about the iQ launch/delivery

December 1st is the release date on the West Coast. There are no iQ's floating around on the dealer floors. They will all be released at the same time.

It's almost here!!!!!!!

Darn Scion. The original release date was March 2011, then June, 2011, then October 1, now they mess up again.

If Scion can't keep it's word on release date, it's make you wonder what else they are so messy about. I am so angry at them that I may not buy the IQ just out of resentment.

I am hoping to get my dealer to order me one. I live in Illinois. I am ready to buy one as soon as I sell my Smart Fortwo CDI. This car will work really well for me. Can't tell me that this is a city car. My Datsun 210 had a 1.2L I4 and it worked real well traveling the highways. Why do we think that little cars with little engines won't work? I took my little Datsun 210 289k miles till it blew an head gasket. Was it underpowered? Yes, but that was not the point. It got 40mpg religiously. It cost very little to maintain. Not everyone wants power and size.

Well Said. I would love if Toyota brought 1.0 liter here as well.
I drove a Seat Ibiza with 1.0 VW engine from Holland to Russia and back... and it easily cruised at 85 mph on german autobahns... and got superb gas mileage. Was fun to drive also.

Whats funny is that Scion has been so careless with the Scion iQ release date and changing release dates as they please. Also the Scion iQ isn't the only car they're working on at the moment. Scion is working on the all new FR-S which so far they have been on point with everything! No messy situation like with the iQ

It makes me wonder who's in charge with the iQ release. Why does the FR-S get's love and the iQ doesn't

I wonder why everyone jumps on Scion when the release date is pushed out? It doesn't have to be their fault. There is a lot of government red tape to go through bringing a new model to the US.

I'm not happy about having to extend my waiting period a few times but I'm going to give Scion the benefit of the doubt as to why it's been delayed a few times.

i jump on them a bit, after all when they say it will be released on a specific date I do expect it for that date but you're right they do have a lot of government red tape to go through.

not a easy process

That article is featuring my car. :) I love my little car! I got 35 mpg on my first tank. I drive part city part rural county roads and some freeway. I am getting a set of snow tires installed later this month. Got myself and two other adults comfortably in the car. Just make sure you warn your backseat passengers about the cup holder so that they don't sit on it as they are getting in.

There is a range from 32-42 depending on the drive scenarios when you see the 36-37 mpg those are averages. There is fine print beneath those numbers. I don't drive like a old lady. I have lots of times where I need to step on it to get out in traffic.
