I really like the front end of the iQ but from the pictures I have seen the license plate on the front bumper totally ruins the look.

I assume most people with the option will not use a front plate? For those that it is a law will you still take the risk of no front plate?

Definitely agree it looks better without the plate. Not sure I would risk not having one if it was the law though....Police seem to pick up on no front plates pretty quick!

As much as the Scion IQ looks better without the front plate, here in Ontario, it's the law... I know too many people who've gotten tickets for not having their front plate on their bumper, so I'm not willing to risk it.

Will try and keep mine off. I hate having to fill dealer holes on the front bumper when they drill them for front plates.

It's been tested and disproved. I think there is one that sort of works but off the top of my head I can't remember which one. As for the front plate, I will keep it off as long as I can without getting a warning from a police officer. I wonder if the dealer can even release a car without one though...

You're lucky! Think of it this way - at least you don't have to have one of our huge plastic English plates on the front and an even uglier yellow one on the back!

Got pulled over by DPS when I had no plate on the front of the Miata. HATED to mount the tag on the IQ. but decided it wasn't worth the risk. At least they are personalized plates...

I am running my front plate since it's a vanity plate. I'm building my own relocating bracket though, I really do miss the iQ plate.

Don't like the plate off to the side like that. Maybe if you had a custom front end. But with a OE front end you would have the big iQ in the center of the bumper.
