Price is still being kept under wraps by Scion - smart hey? lol
Nice... what about horsepower and Price?
i wish we had more iQ specs, but from my research....

Price: about $15 000 Canadian for a base model iQ
Horsepower: With the 1.3 Liter motor gets 90 HP @ ????RPM

It's smart since every manufacture wants their own compact car like the iQ, and are in the process of developing it or already have. Hopefully we can get more specs and better idea of price sometime soon. sucks to wait like this :(

Any more specs or is that about it? Shouldn't it be released anytime soon? I would assume they would've made an announcement already on pricing, specs, and everything.

Scion iQ price at $15 000.....uhh how did you come up with that? is that just a guesstimate or is the iQ price you stated the real iQ Canadian price?

We need more Scion iQ specs posted here.
I think he may be right, with the 15000 start price forgot were i read it, but if sold any higher, it will be to expensive, ie yaris MSRP is about 15 000 as welll, and same with the Mazda 2 .

so 15 000 would be a smart MSRP

I agree with you to some point. I think the Yaris is sort out "outdated" even tho it's fairly new. It's just way too basic.

The iQ on the other hand, I feel is far more advanced and has more to offer than something like a Yaris. Scion is a sporty/performance focused brand and them making something comparable to their own car, Yaris (Scion = Toyota) wouldn't make sense. I'd say the iQ is more comparable to a Smart car, Mini Cooper, Fiat 500, etc etc
They should market it on to that class ans give a higher feel towards it, if they want to put it towards the same class as a Fiat 500 or a mini cooper,

The interior ust be bang on, but then again isn't the SCION brand a lower and more affordable brand ?

FYI the Aston Martin Cygnet is the micro-car to compete with other micro-cars from brands like Smart/Benz, Fiat, BMW/Mini etc. IQ is at a lower class than the brands I stated. Scion is affordable unlike the rest were stating.

The 2011 Scion IQ cranks out 90 horsepower and it is priced in the range of $16,000 - $18,405.

I tend to disagree with you price estimate. It will be competing with Hyundai Accent at $14,595, Fiat 500 at $15,500, Smart at $12,490, and Ford Fiesta at $15,500, and also keep in mind their Yaris is $13,155.

So I would not expect the iQ will NOT be over $16,000 and will be somewhere between $15,500 and $16,000. This price is warranted by the standard included features of air-conditioning, and traction control..

The only way it will be over $16,000 is getting the automatic transmission on it.

All prices above are from Edmunds.com.
The only option for the US is likely to be the CVT transmission. Unfortunately. I would buy it unless it's over 16K.

I doubt it there are dealer installed accessories as follow:

TNS510 Satellite navigation
Kobe plum leather trim
iSports pack
iConnect pack
iStyle pack
iUrban pack
Alloy wheels
Rear parking sensors

specs are out on scion.com, go take a look :]

I'm almost 100% sure we in the USA will have a CVT transmission in the Scion iQ. Just look at most of the vehicles coming out today and in the past few years a lot have been offered with CVT transmission.

And the benefits from the CVT transmission make it well worth the buy.
