Im currently with Geico and have no complaints but in a money where cash is king, im always looking for an even cheaper option. Anybody out there have a favorite insurance company that trumphs all others?

Also, anybody have any tricks or anything to use when searching for quotes online? Ive been toying with some of the numbers (do we really need $25k uninsured driver benefits when the car isnt worth 1/2 of that?)

I've also had Geico for many years as my carrier with no complaints. I'm not sure what uninsured moterist coverage your talking about ? In Ohio you have to carry, by law, uninsured moterist bodily injury of 12,000/25,000 (part of the state minium). There is also uninsured moterist property damage which I cannot carry because I have collision coverage. Neither of these coverages would cover my vehicle.

Just to see whats out there I tried getting quotes online myself but all the companys want a number to call before a quote is givin. So in my humble opinion there is no such thing as an online quote..........

I actually havent checked to see if Arizona requres the uninsurend motorist or not now that i think of it. As far as the online quote thing goes, ive had success with a few companies but theyre significantly higher price/month than Geico has been for me. usually $50/month higher actually. Im always under the impression that somebody somewhere has it for cheaper and better but im striking out on this one. lol.

Good Ol' Geico seems to be the best price around. Thought that I'd get another discount when I turned 50 but that ain't so. Think I'll check Nationwide before my policy is due in may. I'm paying over 800 a year for full coverage with no claims in over 20 years. I don't get it ?

Wow you guys pay a lot in the U.S. I am in the Montreal area. Full coverage on my IQ is $296.97. Minimal coverage on my 2002 Altima is $150.97. I am 55 years old. I am with RBC insurance. I think they take into account that I have my house insured with them also....but I'm not sure of that.

Mine's really close to mistergib. My bill for both cars is about $1050/year. I think the iQ's share slightly more than half - so around $550-ish. I just had my coverages adjusted when I added the iQ last spring to make sure I wasn't under-insured and to be covered enough for rentals when traveling.

I'm in rural central Pennsylvania and the insurance is through State Farm. I know I pay less than folks around here as I made the mistake of mentioning it to a coworker once long ago. Never did that again. I don't want to know why or how my agent gets me cheaper insurance. I'm not rocking the boat.

I have Erie Insurance for everything, house life, 3 cars. I have taken my spec sheet into different insurance people and they can't be touched. My iQ is actually less to insure than my 2006 1/2 xB was.

They have done right by me since '86

I'm with State Farm. Because I paid cash for the iQ, no lien on it, I can keep high deductibles for collision ($2k) and comp ($500), have multi-car and multi-line discounts (also have my homeowners/fire insurance with SF). Perfect driving record, with them for 30 years. I'm paying about $460 a year for the IQ.

For the other two cars I considered buying:

For a 2012 xD, it would have been $560/yr.
For a 2012 Honda CR-Z, $760/yr.

I have full coverage on my iQ (still have a loan out) and extra coverage above the norm so I never get sued if I have an accident so they dont put a lean on my house etc...and its only $840/yr with a $250 deductible. Its a really good price. In total I have 3 cars on my insurance: 2012 iQ, 2003 ML320, & 2012 Soul. All 3 with the same full coverage is only $2,448 with 3 drivers.

My insurance is placing the price hike blame on some new California law.. oh well. one of these days, I'm just gonna move to another state that doesn't tax the heck out of its residents

Paying $135 plus a 15% discount with snapshot for a 6 month premium with Progressive. I have high deductible Comprehensive and Uninsured motorist Coverage but no collision since I figure I'm pretty careful. I am very happy with this price, no other insurance company even got close to this, even the same exact coverage.

Nobody can beat USAA insurance....they don't even try. If anyone in your family was military, I believe you can join. (Both my son-in-laws were allowed to join.)

With my iQ, it was my 3rd car and I have full-coverage insurance on all three...my monthly bill went from $80 to $119...so $39 extra a month.
