    Techstream and Win10?

What versions of Techstream are people using?
Is it working with your other vehicles?
Anyone get it to work with Win10?
Which cable make and model works well with it?
Is there another thread that answers all these questions?
    Micky

    Techstream and Win10?

    Hi,

There are two “versions” of Techstream available.

One that is not official, and the other that is direct from Toyota.

There is a way to hack the official version, which allows you to use it indefinitely, but I’m not too fond of doing that. (Tried it once).

You get the official version for $65 for two days of use, more info here if I can link it properly:

    https://techinfo.toyota.com

There are many cheaper versions that come with a cloned cable out there. Some are better than others. You can do some work to get these to work with 64 - bit Windows, ie Windows 10 64 bit.

Here’s the hack, I mean work:

There’s an official Techstream Lite cable, I have the older version after originally tinkering with an X-Horse Clone, (clone of an X-Horse). They were about $500 when I got mine, but are enabled to do full programming, unlike most clones/M-VCI, where the line tends to be disabled.

I bought a cable off eBay - VCI OBD Cable J2534
Downloaded a cracked version online, I am using an older version - 9
It works best on a 32bit windows xp OS. I got an old laptop and reformatted it
