My Tundra and Prius have nice backup cameras so I wanted to add one to my iQ. They have a new version with solar batteries on the camera that mounds to the rear license plate but it's about $150 so I just got one that needs to be wired into the reverse light power wires.
So I got the DoHonest Wireless backup camera system on Amazon ($49.99) and got it installed. I did have to remove the rear bumper and ended up drilling a new hole to insert the power cable from the camera. (I just went a few inches below the threads for the bolt on the left.) Be careful drilling, though, as there's a major bundle of wires in there. The kit came with 2 t-clamps to tap into the power cables but one bent when I went to squeeze it with pliers but I had others so wasn't an issue. There was only a few inches of power lines behind the backuplights so I ended up having to climb into the iQ in order to get in there to crimp the t-clamps...the wife had to hold the light up for me.
The camera is 4.3" which is small but does have a nice color display. It's definitely not as clear as the Prius or Tundra, probably more like 480 than 720, but does the job.
If you don't want to have to remove the rear bumper or drill a hole into the car I suggest buying a system with solar batteries on the camera or one that has rechargeable batteries.
