This is what the OEM rear spoiler installation kit looks like

In case anyone is wondering, this is what the OEM rear spoiler installation kit looks like.

It's just a template for drilling the holes for the spoiler. Pretty expensive for a piece of template, but I think it's worth the money to guarantee correct hole drilling. The OEM spoiler comes with clips pre-installed, so it's hard to use hole drilling markers to get the precise drilling location.

I'll probably sell the template soon since I'm done with it lol.

Don't drill your roof. Use 3M molding tape. It will hold your wing on forever and if you decide to remove it there will be no holes.

The ad says it for moldings and such. Do you really believe it will hold up the spoiler? Do you know of anyone who has done this?

The angle and the small contact surface worries me, and I don't really mind drilling into the roof. I'm very much a spoiler person so it's not coming off

I've used 3M molding tape to attach body parts on many cars. I used it on the wing on my first gen xB and it held for four years until I got a new wing.

I am currently using the 3M molding tape to hold the FIVE:aD wing on my iQ. It doesn't take a ton of the tape to do the job.

    Congratulations! And welcome!

Here's the part number for the "installation kit", which includes a mylar template. Hopefully it's still available.
