    Hey iqforyou,

    Congrats on the Sway Bar.

Now drive it, and drive it a lot, it will take a little getting used to it, then once you feel you are comfortable and can rely on it it just gets better.

New iQ owner. Mine had the swaybar already installed when I picked it up. Looks identical to your photos. How do I tell if they installed the front bushings? I'm assuming you are referring to the front suspension and not the forward part of the rear suspension? Would like to be able to identify the front bushings. Were they part of the swaybar package? Thanks.

hey there RJG,yes they are a part of the package, and yes i hope they installed the front,a couple friends said the front wouldnt make a difference,BUT,if they came with the pkg,i EXPECT them to be installed,i was going to take pics of the front, but when i went to do so it was a very attractive red head installing them and i didnt want her to think i was some sort of PREVERTE,so i did not,and yes they are up front,i believe if you crank the wheel to one side and have a lookthey are visible and believe they are on the front dif????but im just a janitor so not reall sure.PEACE...

Thanks. I'm very familiar with working on cars. I can see the front bushings (just open the hood and look down, on each side, left, right), I just can't tell if they are the originals or the upgrades. I have a 98 4runner I've had since new. It has lots of TRD accessories, supercharger and so on. Usually TRD stuff has distinctive markings or coloring. Don't see any on the bushings. Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a visual difference between the factory vs the upgrade. I'm kinda of a stickler when paying for something. The swaybar, installed, is an item in my purchase agreement so I expect it to be done correctly. Thanks for your comments.

You cannot tell by looking (unless you know the difference) as the two parts look the same a are difficult to see while they are on the car.

You would have to ask for the old parts. the Old parts are a soft rubber, the new parts are more like a Nylon (harder) material.

The new parts are a black (Hard nylon like material) It is easier to feel the difference between the two parts. The Old part is also black and rubber looking, unlike the new being black and plastic looking.

The Front Hard Bushing would make a difference if they were not installed. The New hard bushing increase rolling resistance. This is like increasing the diameter to a larger bar in front.

The new harder bushings make your stock front bar work harder, to make your IQ corner flatter.

I have taken my IQ thru some corners much faster than before, and my IQ is still cornering flat thru the turn.

    Much better than stock
