Canadian friends..... standard Block Heater??

Hi all, does the Canadian IQ's comes standard with a block heater? I read a review saying it does. However this same review also mentiond standard heated seats...not included in the IQ. So doesn't seem credible.

I was told that it is not included. As for seats being heated. Nope to that as well.

Thats correct no heated seats for me either,which i am okay with,it dont get to terribly cold round these parts,but then again,i have never had the luxury of heated seats.

When I spoke to a salesman yesterday I was told that a block heater option might be available this summer. No idea where he was getting his info from though. One option that was offered to me in the mean time was an aftermarket oil pan heater. This is a heating element that bolts on to the oil pan and heats that, instead of the the coolant heater which is what the typical block heater is. Not certain how effective it is, but better than nothing when the weather hits -40.

I had one built for my IQ. They are not available for the car at the current time. Huge oversight on Toyota's part. Selling cars in Western Canada without a block heater is goofy. They used one from a Toyota Yaris for mine and charged me over $200
