I haven't found any official US announcements but I predict it will be in the $20,000 range. Too much more and the cars will be impossible to sell.

I am counting on it being $22,000 taxes in and a whack load of options.

    13,500-14,500

Unless they price it low it is NOT going to sell in the general population of the US. Maybe it will sell some to single 20-30 year olds, but for the overall general public...no go...if priced higher. And older folks have ALL the money. And they sure won't want to finance a car like this. This to me is a cash buyers car.

I voted between 17-20000. I really hope it will come in the lower end of 17 then cost under 20,000 once taxes are added.

Would love to walk off the dealership lot with a new Scion for $20,000!!

    Pricing

Now, let me prefice this by saying all of this is just our opinions. I wholly agree with Phoenix.....it needs to be no more than 17K and that's pushing it. I would like to see it around 15K, even lower. Even though Toyota has a good reputation and sells vehicles on that, they are right now taking a huge hit on their recall. And, Toyota is smart enough not to price this car out of the market it is in. Remember we have yet to see it and it is tiny....the people in their commercials are small people too. Go get a tape measure and mark off the dimensions and wheelbase on your driveway, or better yet in your living room. In my opinion if it is 20K it will have a had time selling here.

20k is reasonable to me for what you are getting. Toyota quality is still top notch and the "cool factor" of this car is off the charts. I have a feeling it will start around there.

Looky here I want a CHEAP quality car. Like the old VW beetle. No power locks, windows, mirrors. Not a "luxury" car. (what a JOKE!) Something well made but made to cost as little as possible. Got it?
