A great article can be found on the main page about some pricing estimates: 2011 Scion iQ - Projected Price And MPG Plus More Details

Seeing as we are yet to have official announcements on price

The economy is not in a good enough state to release a brand new car cheaper than $16,000. Scion needs to make money in some form so I am expecting to pay $20,000 for the iQ by the time it is released.

If that was true, then why are Hyundai Accents advertised at $9,995? Taking into consideration the size of the Scion IQ, I wouldn't pay $20,000 for it. For $20,000 there are lots of other cars that could be bought that would suit a larger variety of lifestyles. Scion has to be careful that they don't price themselves out of the market by making the IQ too expensive. Think of the price of a Smart Car - Scion has to remain competitive with that...

The IQ is in the really small car niche market. I think they can get away with charging 20k for it. Have you ever priced out a Mini or a Smart Car?

I haven't priced out a Mini or Smart Car... though I could definitely see the Mini being priced higher than the IQ...

Anyways, according to this article on Car and Driver's website, they estimate that the Scion IQ will be priced around $16,000.

Until the actual pricing is released, we can only speculate, but $16,000 sounds good to me

I choose between $14,000 and $17,000. I think that's about right, and just about what I'd be willing to pay for a base model IQ - if the price was within that range for the base model IQ plus options, that would be even better
