    Defrosting tips for your iQ?

I spent 15 minutes last night scraping ice, running the heater and otherwise defrosting my IQ enough to see for my 3 minute drive home. I got a nice brass bladed scraper tht took the ice right off the windshield but within moments it started frosting up again. I had to sit with the heater running full blast on the window defogger for it to clear.

Anyone got any tips or teicks for keeping the frost off or clearing it fast?

I have remote start so when I get in everything is already cleared off. I generally leave mine set on 3 with temp cranked and come out about 15 min after starting.

Try it with the blower on 1 or 2, running the blower on high moves too much air through the heater core and the cold air is keep it from warming up quickly. All the heater core is is just a small radiator.

I'll keep that in mind. I also grabbed a bottle of de-icing spritzer, hopefully that'll help. I also found a good way avoid the whole icing problem in the first place, if I can time it just right.

I runna gas station with a car wash, when it hits 32 we go out and close the wash. Last week it got cold enough early enough that I had another employee on hand, so I had her watch the til while I ran oput to lock up the car wash and turn on the heater...with my IQ tucked safely in a licked heated camera-monitored private garage ;-) The one and only time you;ll see my car in a mechanical wash :P
