    what do you hate about your car?

    theres no car that was made perfect. as much as we all love our current cars theres at least one thing that we dont like about it. what is that thing and why dont you like it?

    My Acura RSX is the best car, by far, that I've owned. It's extremely reliable and low maintenance. But it's way too big and heavy for my needs. It has a huge turning radius. Give me 40 acres and I'll turn this thing around. I'm looking for something much smaller and lighter, and I much prefer a hatchback to a sedan.

    Thank goodness for the oil shock a couple of years ago. It gave us much better car choices than we had in 2002 when I bought my RSX.

    Presently car-less, I hate that the car I am waiting for has not arrived at the dealership for me to test drive.

    For the last 20+ years, the most detestable part of any car I had was the payments. This time I bought used and outright. I'm gonna drive it until one of us drops.

    The thing I hate about all cars, they are a money pit. They pretty much always lose their value and cost more and more as the years pass to maintain.

    I hate that my current car is slow. Not enough torque.

    The gas mileage on my Forester sucks compared to what it once was. I just want to get rid of this beast and get something more economical like the iQ.

    I have an Evo IX SE. It's the best car I've ever owned (though I owned another Evo before it), but here are the things I don't like about it:

    * Insurance rates are pretty high compared to almost every other car
    * No cruise control
    * Pricey maintenance (on-par for its performance but pricey compared to other cars in its price range)
    * So-so mpg when daily driving (typically 19-20 mpg on my daily 8-mile commute)
    * Ugly HVAC
    * Mediocre paint quality
    PM me if you'd like to save money on insurance

    thats the price you have to pay for driving a car like that. i have a few of the same problems with you but i learned to deal with it seeing as its not my only car that has bad gas mileage, high insurance, and pricey maintenance. im sure all of those will go away with the iq.

    ^ If I get an iQ, it wouldn't replace the Evo, it would just become the daily driver between the two, which would more than likely discount my insurance rates. But like I said in the other thread, I'm also considering a Honda Fit Sport.

    The Fit is soo much bigger than the iQ. Do you really need the room?

    Like I said in the other thread, I'll know when I see an iQ in person.

    I have a fit sport and I saw the iq at LA autoshow (still going) and I do find the fit to be a bit on the big side for my needs. It's much safer though and im getting 41-42 mpg 85% hwy.
