i was able to download pics onto my profile page,but for the life of me cannot get them to the threads area.

I haven't tried it, but here goes. I use Photobucket, which is a free photo sharing site.

Yep, that worked. I think you can do the same from Flickr, too.

You can do what Dave did and upload the file to Flickr, Photobucket... or just any free photo hosting website or as you wanted to do originally, an attachment to this thread.

To upload a photo as an attachment:

- when making your thread/reply scroll down to "Manage Attachments"
- A new window will pop up, at the top right of that window click on "+ Add Files" , everything else is self explanatory
