Scion thinking of possible new models

Scion has been known for youth oriented quirky looking cars. Their current lineup only has a few models and now their thinking of possible new niche's they can cater to. Personally I hope they make the Toyota A-Bat pickup truck a reality.

Heres a niche...small turbo/RWD coupe. Just look to the Genesis....great sales numbers. And of course the value of a used Nissan 240sx is huge. Scion could have a hit. But they wont do it!

I am not a fan of the P/U. I would MUCH rather see their version of the FT-86. That would be something. It would definitely blow the Genesis out of the water. That's a car that I can see people and specifically the Scion demographic buying.

im sure they will sooner or later. look how many tuners are turning fwd scions into rwd and awd cars. theres so many rwd drift scions out there its not even funny. they are still a fairly new division of toyota so give them some time. they were supposed to be just a cheap and unique alternative to toyota cars which is why they didnt have a rwd car before. rwd cars tend to cost more to make.

I wonder what marketing "genius" came up with the idea that Scion needs more models. Not a good plan IMO. Just look at the Cooper Mini. Many enthusiasts are now turned off by that brand just because they started to produce a wider range of vehicles. I think some may get turned off if Scion does the same. They should stick to their current line up IMO.

Genius marketing is the way to attract people to buy more. they do surveys and come up with new innovative to satisfy there needs. many times it is successful but disappoints few older costumers.
