    Evo owner

Hello all. I currently own a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX SE that I bought brand new in February 2007, which I paid off last week. I had been considering a variety of cars to buy now, and for a while I had been leaning toward the Honda Fit, though the Toyota/Scion iQ has been on my mind a lot since it's such a neat little package. I live in Newport Beach, so parallel parking into generally tight spaces can happen, so naturally I've been considering cars like these. Hopefully I'll learn more about the car, especially as it approaches its release date.

welcome to the forums. the iq would be a good option for a daily driver for you then keep the evo as a weekend/track toy. this video should help convince you to get an iq.

Well, the video didn't show much. But I still like the car. I'll just have to wait to see one in person.

Yah, that is just a Gizmo modified version of the iQ. There are many benefits other than parallel parking that would sway you towards a purchase. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for joining!

The 2011 Scion iQ is a 90HP 1.3liter 4-cylinder engine paired with a CVT that behaves much like an automatic. its design is small and can be parked easily.

I don't really have many questions, though I'm sure a lot of the things I'm curious about will be addressed when I see the car in person whenever it comes out.

I'm pretty familiar with how the CVTs work since I had worked at a Toyota dealership a few years back and had some seat time in a few of their cars with CVT (mostly hybrids).

Welcome to the forums. Theres definitely a lot of potential in the iQ. Personally I want to see how hard it would be to put a hayabusa motor in that baby. Post pics of your EVO. I'm a huge fan of them especially the Evo 6 TM edition.

Here is a pic of my car, but from 2008:

My car is still bone stock, so the only difference between the car now and in the picture is that it has a new set of tires. The Evo VI TM Edition is awesome, but they're not really sold in the U.S. (unless imported, though I have seen a few in person), so I don't really care THAT much for it.
