    Cheers from San Diego!

I had hoped to have it today but it looks like it will be here Thursday. I wanted Blizzard White so I have to wait patiently for it to arrive.

We were at the Toyota dealer buying my wife her new Prius and I saw a couple IQ's across the lot so I had to sit in one. We were blown away how big they feel on the inside! By the time we agreed on a price for her car I decided I had to have an IQ. I had planned to drive her old Prius to and from school... not after I saw the IQ. It didn't help that I hated her Prius but I fell in love instantly with the little Scion.

I have odd taste in cars and trucks so I think it will fit in perfect here. I am tired of driving my huge truck or my Jeep with a soft top to go do the shopping and run errands for my wife and son (stay at home Dad) so a little city car was on my lists of wants but the Fiat 500 Abarth was in first place. After seeing both it was an easy choice. I'm a big guy and the IQ just fits me better.

Anyway I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I have read almost every thread here in the last couple days and I'm planning my list of mods. Mine won't have a spoiler so that will be first followed by wheels and tires. After that I will take some more time reading here and figure out the rest.

I see there are a lot of IQ owners here in SoCal I hope to meet you guys. I do a few car shows a year with my truck and almost took it to Hot Import Nights but couldn't make it at the last minute. I will be hitting a few more now that I will actually own an import and hope to see you guys out there.

I will post pics as soon as I get her home!

Thank you for the welcome! Its funny I have yet to drive one so I'm interested to see what its like. It will be an adjustment from what I am used to driving around here for sure. I bet it will be a heck of a lot easier to park at the beach!

Yes, you will be able to make U-turns with room to spare in places you would normally won't even try!
    Enjoy!

Congratulations on your choice of buying an iQ. I know you will be happy with it. I own a Blizzard Pearl and I think you will be satisfied that you waited, it's an awesome color.

Welcome! I'm up in Escondido but drive in San Diego regularly. So far, I've only seen two other IQs on the road.

    What truck do you drive?

I'm excited to see if it will drive in one side of the garage and out the other

They were having issues finding one but he just called and said he found a white one and was on his way to get it! I'm excited I got first choice even though Lava and black would have worked. Thank you.

My truck is an odd one. Its a 2002 Hummer 2 door. 1 of 6 built in that year. I will include a couple pics... think the IQ will look good next to it?

At H.R.E.'s open house. This is how I have to park it everywhere but in this case I was giving the Ferrari some room too.

    At the LA Auto Show.

Thank you very much MoJo! We should get some IQ's together and hit Carlsbad Cars and Coffee some day. I have been there a couple times with my truck and have met some very cool car guys.

So I just drove her home! What a fun car... I'm in love. I expected it to feel slow after reading some reviews... it feels very sporty. I expected it to feel a little dodgy on the freeway at 75 mph... it was rock solid. This car is going to be exactly what I need. The stereo needs a little help but I was pleasantly surprised how good it was for a stock system. I can't wait to start modding this thing. I need to sell a couple cars first but soon enough it will be tucked in the garage getting torn apart

Car looks great! Yes, you will enjoying modding this car. Parts are relatively inexpensive.
Looks like it's on stilts and needs a drop asap! (just kidding)

I love the look of IQ's that are lowered but I am worried that it will bottom out on some of the huge dips we have here for drainage. I brought my Viper down here from Seattle for a year after we bought this place in San Diego and it was horrible. Even my wifes old prius front valance rubs all the time. I will have to feel out some of these bumps around town and see how she does. No doubt it looks lifted stock but that might be just what I need I love your IQ btw... you have phenomenal taste.

I undrestand your predicament, but probably having to slow down just might be the answer.
Thank you very much for the compliment. I love the looks of your Hummer.

Thats why I bought this car! I am tired of creeping over speed bumps and culverts at a 45 degree angle. I want this one to be a fun daily driver but still look good... you know what I mean? I'm not sure what that entails lol but thats the plan. I drove my Humvee and Jeep less than 500 miles total last year because I hate parking at school and stressing about them... now I have the perfect car

I was shocked when I got out of the car tonight at the Grocery store and saw where I had parked. This thing cracks me up.

Glad to see your new iQ has arrived. You will have so much fun modding this little buggy. It's easy to work on, doesn't take up much space and turns heads where ever you go.

As for lowering and drainage ditches, if you use springs you should be ok, most of the springs out there on the market don't provide more than a 1.8 inch drop. You could always go with the air suspension route and have all the adjustment you need.

    Your Hummer is amazing, btw.
