Is there a source for a rear compartment cover? I have read mentions of a Toyota iQ cover being provided as OEM issue in Europe, but have seen no mention of one available here, either as an OEM item or in aftermarket.

I understand they are standard on the 2013 iQ's . So you can get it from the dealer .
Thanks for the information. You can buy them on eBay from a Japanese import firm, but the shipping is ridiculous; much better to let Toyota put them on a ship and move them for pennies on the dollar.
I checked on the Toyota IQ (standard equipment on UK IQs) forum from the UK and the cover does not have great reviews. Let us know how youlike yours.
I've just got a big wool army blanket draped over my rear seats. I can cover my cargo with it if I want, use it as a rear cargo mat, use it to protect the upholstery if I just wanna load the cargo in the back seats, it's good for if I get stuck someplace in the winter, or if I need something to throw on the ground to crawl under the car, flame resistant so I can smother a fire with it, and I got it Navy surplus, which means it's actually a nice neutral gray instead of OD Green

Got mine used from the uk and love it
I spent ten minutes at the parts counter and about fifteen minutes with the parts and accessories manager today, and they could find no parts listing for the fabric torneau cover. We went through all of the parts diagrams, and the separately listed groups of accessories - no cover.
Does anyone have a part number for this mysterious item for the 2013 iQ?
Thanks for the photo Spidious. Looks like the rear seats are not latched in their normal (fully backed) position, but collapsed to give maximum trunk space. Is my observation correct?

If you want the seats up, you can leave the front attachment snaps "unsnapped", with the excess cover length draping down behind the erect rear seat back.
We like the roller cargo area shutters that we have used on both the Scion products and on the smart. A floppy fabric one will be a bit of an inconvenience when in daily use, but it will store much better than the rigid roller structure ones. Then too, the roller assembly can get in the way if you wish to recline the seat past a dead upright position.
smart had a clever idea when they provided a lower storage position for the roller blind. You snap it into the lower position locator holes, drape the fabric front down behind the seats, and it is out of the way yet still in the car.
I didn't realize it till now. The cargo net eliminates the back snaps that the cover would use.
I was under the impression that the cargo net used two positions on the rear door frame, while the tourneau cover attached to snaps only at the top of the compartment.
